Crackdown on Uyghur textbooks for their content

• According to the film ‘The Plot Inside the Textbooks,’ Uyghur textbook compilers commited crimes such as

  30 per cent was the upper limit for minority-language sources; the texts were 60 per cent Uighur materials. In 200,000 words of text, “China” appeared only four times.

• The film said there were 88 individuals who “with malicious intent” had compiled and edited school textbooks in Uighur.
