The law of the interpenetration or unity of opposites is a law from Dialectical Materialism which means there are two opposite aspects in everything. The principal aspect is what determines the basic character of the whole thing. The secondary aspect is needed by the principal one but continuously struggles to assume the principal position.^[Isn’t this just Yin & Yang?]
