From reddit:
- The neighboring Central Asian states next to China do not freely allow their native beliefs.
- Tajikistan is run by a ex Communist Dictator who
- bans kids under 18 from Mosques and forbids them from religious schools,
- condemned and banned Hijabs (veils) and beards,
- banned Arabic names and
- destroyed thousands of Mosques.
- Tajikistan police forcibly shaved 13,000 men on the streets and
- shut down stores selling Hijabs and Islamic clothing.
- Uzbekistan is run by an ex Communist dictator who had
- Uzbek women forcibly sterilized,
- bans Islamist organizations and
- had Islamist dissidents to his regime assassinated like Abdullah Bukhoroy in Istanbul
