According to CNN and Mamutjan:

• Mamutjan and his wife were studying in Kuala Lumpur.
• His wife lost her passport.
  • To renew it, had to go to Xinjiang.
  • So in lte 2015, she went and brought their kids.
• CNN’s visit:
  • Muhlise said she has not seen her father since 2017.
• His wife Muherrem was detained from 2017-2019.
• Detained again in 2019.
  • Leaving the children parentless since 2017.
