中共喀什地委发出通知：辖区所有住户房子一律不得使用地毯挂毯，要用睡床、沙发茶几、桌子椅子，要建立“现代生活方式”，违者收罚。我无法想象维吾尔人家里没有床、沙发茶几、桌子椅子等基本家具。他们的目的就是要取缔民族特色的生活方式。针对维吾尔族的同化政策无处不在。

Violators will be punished. I can’t imagine that Uyghurs do not have basic furniture such as beds, sofas, coffee tables, tables and chairs in their homes. Their purpose is to ban the lifestyle of ethnic characteristics. Assimilation policies for Uyghurs are everywhere.
