2014 Kunming train attack
On 1 March 2014, a group of Uyghurs appeared to have indiscriminately attacked Han civilians with long knives inside the Kunming train station in the southern Chinese province of Yunnan. According to reports, 8 attackers, including 2 women, wearing all-black outfits killed 31 people, injuring an additional 141. The attack was on helpless civilians, appeared to be premeditated and seemed to be politically motivated given that authorities allegedly found Eastern Turkistan flags at the scene of the crime.
